Why there has been no mandate from the people of the UK to transfer powers to an unelected bunch of incompetents who have ended up ruining Europe.

2. Exactly what powers have been transferred from the UK to the EU and the difference between that and the powers that the EU thinks that it has. Clearly the EU is grabbing powers illegally.

3. Why there have been no checks and balances and power of veto to protect the UK's interests and its people from issues such as mass immigration, uncompetitive practices & laws from the Eurozone/EU?

This needs to be undertaken by an independent Commission of Truth (much like South Africa had).

If there is wrong-doing, then MPs and Ministers from both sides of the House need to be accountable and ultimately pay for what is, to me, treason.

The EU is breaking democracies and ways of life across Europe. It abuses its powers and is now highly dangerous and out of control.

Our future is free trade by EEA/EFTA membership but no sovereignty.

SCAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36227136.post-41734804973857200932013-10-21T15:46:31.062+01:002013-10-21T15:46:31.062+01:00Centralisation is about quickly make decisions aff...Centralisation is about quickly make decisions affecting many people. Scrutiny slows things down and people who believe they know everything also believe they don't need to be scrutinised.

If eurocrats made fewer decisions (with less amendments) then the scrutiny would be quicker as there would be less to scrutinise. But fewer decisions (and less amendments) is quite the opposite of the current trend...
Current trend seems to be to obfuscate to make scrutiny difficult.

If the current situation (slow decision-making?) is bad what to do about it? Reduce scrutiny of eurocrats or reduce the output of eurocrats?Jespernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36227136.post-10602386757533378332013-10-21T12:36:17.700+01:002013-10-21T12:36:17.700+01:00OE - you have missed a step.
Engaging with the EU...OE - you have missed a step.

Engaging with the EU institutions is step 2.

Engaging with the people, who have not given their politicians any mandate for any of this off piste EU nonsense, is the first step.

SCAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
