Just look what happens when you leave Europeans to keep the peace: first you stop the Bosnians from having arms, by force of arms; then you herd them into 'safe areas' like Srebrinica, and put a European Battalion there to keep them in order; then, at the approach of Radko Miladic, you shoot at the Bosnians to stop them seeking shelter in the EU base; then, as Mladic gets closer, you get into your trucks and chicken out and bugger off quick; never mind that 8000 people are slaughtered: every man from 7 to 70 years old. EU peace: the worst case of cowardice and failure since Auschwitz. Only when the US said 'enough' did the slaughter of innocent civilians stop.Rollohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18255460090580758354noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36227136.post-18380277667179778292011-10-07T15:01:55.797+01:002011-10-07T15:01:55.797+01:00I do wish people would take a good look at World W...I do wish people would take a good look at World War 2 on Youtube and remind themselves that the EU is responsible for the long enduring peace we all enjoy as Europeans.

So whatever the price we are paying for the EU, it is worth it.

Thanks OpenEurope for a great job... Everyone knows that the EU is in retreat; no-one is afraid of a renewed federalist onslaught."
Really? What about the present push for fiscal union, espoused by both Osborne & Balls in the usual undemocratic, bipartisan stitch-up?Will Podmorenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36227136.post-69509876411785992162011-10-07T09:23:57.484+01:002011-10-07T09:23:57.484+01:00In the past, 'all political careers ended in f...In the past, 'all political careers ended in failure'. But the EU has changed all that, with guaranteed and well paid posts in Brussels for failed politicians who have been seen to support the EU: Kinnock, Patten, Mandelson, Blair etc; a long list of tossers. So it is easy to see where Cameron and Hague are heading.Rollohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18255460090580758354noreply@blogger.com
