Also, I saw a placard at a demonstration by disenfranchised young spaniards recently saying: " European Spring" (referring to the outbreak of democracy among Arab dictatorships). The rulers cannot get ahead of the curve it seems and acquiesce to the people.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36227136.post-39644338408168458742011-09-05T14:40:08.344+01:002011-09-05T14:40:08.344+01:00Yes indeed - and its not just the politicians who ...Yes indeed - and its not just the politicians who either do not even realised or else try to ignore what people think, but its the economists too with their theories and computer programs. What does matter is that every component within the currency union has a balanced budget, and lives within its means. And, of course, there can be no bail outs of failing bits: they must go bankrupt. But that is not the case in the Eurozone, and there is no way that many of the indebted nations can grow their economies fast enough to balance their budgets while remaining in the Eurozone.Rollohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18255460090580758354noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36227136.post-29061237155758728742011-09-05T13:23:59.458+01:002011-09-05T13:23:59.458+01:00As long as European citizens feel as if they are a...As long as European citizens feel as if they are as much relevance to Brussels as a single termite in a colony, pressure will mount. It is the responsibility of those who "lead" (guide) to ensure the voice of the general public is respected and their wishes acted upon.Peripatetic Scribehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16947563967578134704noreply@blogger.com
