The hard sell: EU spends €2.4bn a year on propaganda

Fascinating read, excellent work! Here is the crux of the matter, and the reason why the EU is dangerous in its current form:

Interest groups should be able and free to promote the EU if that is what they believe in, but there is no justification for giving them taxpayers’ money to do so.

This makes NGOs and interest groups no more than a government arm, which is a step on the road to totalitarianism.

Why are we surprised at this. They have wasted more and more money on stupid things before.

It also shows how little interest people have in the EU or its policies. When you have to spend this much money to promote the EU it shows how unpopular it is.

Dont suppose we will see the day the Open Europe gets some EU cash.

Its frightening how quickly our freedom is being eroded by the EU with the blessing of our own spineless politicians. When you read this and see the amounts being wasted is it any wonder people dont bother voting. Our once great Country is systamaticaly being destroyed from within. Apply for some of that cash now and continue providing a more realistic picture of the EU.

They can spend as much as they like, I cant stand the EU in any form. Only the EEC made sense, the current state of affairs is intolerable.
