In the media summary: "Frankfurter Rundschau reports that it is likely that the EU will make an announcement within the next six months, inviting Estonia to adopt the euro. If this takes place, Estonia will be the first ‘new’ member state to have joined the EU since 2004 to enter the eurozone."

Slovenia?

Thanks - good spot. Not only has Slovenia joined the eurozone since the 2004 enlargement, but also Malta, Cyprus and Slovakia. We meant to say that Estonia, if accepted, will be the first new member state from the former Soviet Union to join the eurozone. Sorry about that.

Right you are. I'd clean forgotten the other three (although Slovenia was first of the four).

Congratulations to Mats Persson on his promotion.
