Great story in the Evening Standard Londoner's Diary about an extraordinary typo in the EU's 2007 pocket diary, which has already been sent out. The diary informs readers that the Bulgarian European Parliament Office is in Bucharest, and that the Romanian Office is in Sofia. As if the new members didn't already feel unwelcome.
Now we all miss the odd typo - but that is a real clanger. That said, it's good to see that even professionals get it wrong. The same article quotes a certain "Derek Scott" from the UK's European Parliament Office. Presumably they spoke to Dermot Scott not our Deputy Chairman..?
