Open Europe blog

A blog about the European Union, foreign policy, politics, etc

The voice of reason

Further to our earlier post, former Europe Minister Denis MacShane is at it again, guns blazing at anyone calling for a referendum on the Lisbon Treaty . He's back on the Guardian's Comment is Free raving about "xenophobic rhetoric" and a curious "giant fiesta of anti-European hate."

Eurofederalists are always complaining about the lack of 'sensible' and 'reasonable' debate in this country on the EU - perhaps they could start by persuading some of their own?
